Why Olive Leaf and Aloes:
Olive leaf and Aloes:  The references to the olive leaf and the olive branch in the Bible have always given me a feeling of hope and joy for the future.  It was a sign of life in the land after the great flood in Noah's day. The olive leaf has also been used for centuries for its antibacterial purposes and its healing properties. The scriptures talk about the olive leaf,  the olive branch, the olive tree and the oil many times throughout the bible.. psalm  128:3 ...And your children will be as Olive shoots all around your table, Psm 52:8 But as for me, I am as the Olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the loving kindness of God forever and ever. Hosea 14: 5-6 I... He will blossom like the lily, And he will take root like the cedars of Lebanon. His shoots will sprout, And his beauty will be like the olive tree And his fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon.  How beautiful is that!!!  My Daughter Elliana who is now in the presence of Jesus, her middle name was Olivet, I treasure this name I had put so much though into almost 15 years ago now..  Names mean a lot in my opinion! It even says God will give us a new name someday which to me shows God cares about names!

Olive Leaf and Aloes?  I am not  specifically referring to Aloe Vera which we are all familiar with,  although I do love Aloe Vera and all the healing Properties that it has.   I am referring to the "Aloes" in the Bible which most likely refers to a sap like resin called agar wood, or it may have possibly been Sandalwood, i am not sure but either way I love the references in the scriptures.  In Pslams 45:8  it says.. my garments smell of myrrh, aloes and cassia, out of the ivory places, whereby they have made me glad. I truly love the references to spices, resins and herbs in the bible . They are the original fragrances, medicine and ointments the world knew. Oh why did we ever stray from the original plan...?
